Licensed-Adjuster Accident Detection Report

Unlike the simple mutual report drivers fill out themselves, this is a report drawn up by an authorised registered insurance adjuster, including a technical opinion and sketch where applicable.

What is a licensed-adjuster report?

A licensed-adjuster accident detection report is a material-damage traffic accident report drawn up under Article 22/17 of Law 5684 (the Insurance Act) by an authorised registered insurance adjuster. The document records the parties’ statements, the damage to the vehicles, the findings at the scene and the adjuster’s technical assessment.

It is not an ordinary form. The report may contain the adjuster’s technical opinion and a scaled sketch of the scene. These two elements support the claim file with technical evidence. The document is completed with the required digital signatures and can be submitted in the insurance process. The app, call line and guidance are free; the adjuster fee process is handled under Law 5684 art. 22/19 and the relevant insurance contract terms.

How it differs from SBM’s mobile/mutual report

In Turkey, two different documents are often confused under the term “accident report”. The first is the simple mutual report drivers fill out among themselves; SBM’s Mobile Accident Detection Report / ALO KTT app is also a tool that digitises this self-filled statement. The second is the licensed-adjuster report: drawn up by an authorised registered insurance adjuster and including a technical opinion and a sketch where applicable.

The difference is not just “who filled it in”. Unlike the simple mutual report drivers fill out themselves, the adjuster’s report includes an independent technical assessment. When the other driver denies the accident or the statements conflict, this opinion can give the claim file stronger evidential support.

Challenges drivers face at the scene

The moment of an accident rattles even the calmest driver. With adrenaline high, it is hard to remember which photo to take or which angles are critical for the claim file. Most drivers forget to capture the plate, a close-up of the damage, or a wide shot of the scene; later, these gaps can lead to the file being rejected.

The second big problem is conflicting statements. The other party tells the story differently, denies fault, or later changes their account. In a simple report based on driver statements, this means the process can lock up. The third is uncertainty: how is a claim file opened, which documents are needed, what is sent to the insurer? The adjuster-approved process reduces these risks by guiding you step by step on collecting photos and documents, adding an independent technical assessment, and completing an insurer-ready package.
